The First Aid Update Course is designed for First Aid Instructors, Examiners or Trainers to prepare them to teach the Society’s new Workplace First Aid curriculum. Through a series of clear, well-structured lessons, you’ll explore updated CPR guidelines, regulatory changes, new award structures and essential mandatory teaching resources. Completion of this course will earn you two (2) points toward your recertification of leadership awards. 

Mandatory reference materials include the new Canadian First Aid Manual, the First Aid Award Guide, and the Teaching First Aid resource, which must be purchased as part of the online course. 

Note: To obtain their First Aid Instructor certification, Emergency First Aid Instructors must: 

• Complete this online course \Attend either a First Aid Instructor course or the EFA Instructor Transition Course 

• Hold a Standard or Intermediate First Aid certification 

• Be at least 18 years of age
