Intermediate First Aid CPR-C/AED
The Lifesaving Society's blended Intermediate First Aid course combines self-paced online learning with an in-person skills assessment.
Key timelines:
- You must complete the online portion within 60 days of beginning the course.
- You have an additional 60 days after completing the online portion to complete the in-person skills assessment.
The online portion of the course, which takes 6 to 8 hours, is divided into 12 modules that are completed sequentially. After completing all 12 modules, candidates can download a proof of completion for the online portion of the course and attend the 8-hour in-person skills assessment. The online portion of the course must be completed within 60 days of beginning it.
The in-person skills assessment must be completed within 60 days of completing the online portion of the course and tests all essential knowledge and skills – including performing CPR, using an AED and completing a written test.
To pass, candidates must earn a score of 70% or higher during the in-person skills assessment and written exam.
